A Tradition of Student Recitals
We have two exciting student recitals each year at the Russian Music Academy of America (RMAOA). Selected students participate in each performance. They have been practicing hard and waiting impatiently for the opportunity to perform. Performances include solos as well as ensembles.
A Sense of Accomplishment
Each student gets the chance to demonstrate what he/she has learned from their piano lessons at RMAOA. The best thing is that the students love to be part of the same music school and pupils of the same teacher. They see each other progress and become sometimes competitive, which is not always bad thing. 🙂 It motivates them to continue to work hard.
Their success is always a great achievement for us. The public recitals demonstrate the high quality of piano lessons at RMAOA. We also have regular private studio recitals for the teaching of performance skills.
Performances by Elza Ritter and Guests
Parents of students always wait for the treat: the performance by their children’s teacher. Parents cannot wait for the moment when their children will play like her. 🙂 Also, traditionally, we have guests performers. Guests include my musical colleagues, alumni students, or students of the violin, guitar, or flute from other teachers.
The recitals also include performances by the RMAOA Choir. Students are always excited to learn a new song and have fun singing together.
After the excitement of the performances, we enjoy each other’s company in the relaxed atmosphere of our fabulous international reception.
Come Hear Us Play!
Guests and visitors really appreciate when they hear the magical melodies from the piano. We welcome all music lovers as guests. The concert hall is limited to about 200 seats, so please contact us in advance if you are attending. The concert is free. However, you are welcome to make a donation towards the RMAOA students scholarship fund.
Please check our event listings to see when our next recital will take place. We hope you will join us!
